EasyQSMD
(Easy Quick Spectral
Modulation Detection)

The QSMD (Quick Spectral Modulation Detection) is a test developed by Gifford et al. (2014) which is designed to be a fast and clinically feasible estimate of spectral resolution for cochlear implant users. The QSMD correlates with speech understanding for adult post-lingually deafened cochlear implant users (Gifford et al., 2018).

The EasyQSMD software is a new, easy-to-use software package to measure QSMD that is described in Landsberger et al., (in press). It is free to use, easy to run and install, and requires no licenses. The software interface is based on the SMRT (Aronoff and Landsberger, 2013).

For CI users, QSMD measured with the new software (EasyQSMD) is equivalent to performance with the original software (QSMD(MySound))
